Ângela Afonso focuses her practice on labor law, advising on human resource management, hiring and the termination of employment contracts, restructurings and disciplinary proceedings, and workplace accidents. She also handles civil, criminal, labor and misdemeanor litigation related to the workplace.
She has assisted clients to seek out and implement the best solutions to the new challenges in the labor and employment field, as well as drafting new human resources policies and accompanying clients to handle the digital transformation of businesses.
She also has experience in data protection and in compliance matters, having participated in projects involving whistleblowing and equal remuneration.
From 2014 to 2022, she worked at SLCM - Serra Lopes, Cortes Martins & Associados, a full-service law firm with over 60 years of activity that merged with Cuatrecasas in 2023.
She is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association. She is also a member of Associação de Jovens Juslaboralistas.
