In Portugal, Cuatrecasas has offices in Lisbon and Porto, and approximately 150 lawyers.
The firm's Portuguese roots date back to 1928 when Armando Gonçalves Pereira founded a law firm in Lisbon, which stood out for its independent legal practice and its activity with a strong focus on foreign investment. André Gonçalves Pereira continued to apply the same approach under his management. The firm’s consolidation as a benchmark firm on the Portuguese market, coupled with a strong commitment to internalization, as well as its integration with one of the largest Spanish law firms, led to what today is the Cuatrecasas Iberian law firm.
The Lisbon office, located in the heart of the city, is home to over 130 lawyers with a proven track record handling large and complex transactions, and specializing in all areas of law. They combine traditional legal practice with the specialized knowledge required for each case.
Our extensive network of offices throughout the Iberian Peninsula and the main international markets enables us to meet our clients’ needs in other jurisdictions.
