Cuatrecasas closes the 2024 edition of El Compendio, its annual welcome program for the firm’s new hires

Over 200 new hires attend the 28th edition of El Compendio of Cuatrecasas

El Compendio closed this last edition with 219 new attendees who have joined the firm’s different areas and departments in 2024. The purpose of this event, held in Santa Susana (Barcelona) on October 16-18, is for the participants to become familiar with the firm’s defining values, culture and philosophy, in addition to strengthening the new group’s cohesion. 

The 28th edition of El Compendio brought together professionals from the Cuatrecasas offices in Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Bogotá, Girona, Lima, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Málaga, Mexico City, Palma, Porto, Santiago de Chile, San Sebastian, Seville, Valencia, Vigo and Zaragoza. During the three days, all of them participated in different sessions and activities designed to foster teamwork and learn more about the basic tenets that are foundation of the firm’s everyday practice, from ethics and good governance, service excellence and the principle of equal opportunities and diversity to our continuous commitment to innovation and professional development. The career challenges that the new hires may encounter at the firm were also discussed. 

Everyone participated in different outdoor activities designed to develop motivation, communication and collegiality and attended speeches and debates with the firm’s senior managers: Rafael Fontana, senior partner; Javier Fontcuberta, managing partner; Raimundo Segura, corporate partner; Jesús Ortega, compliance director; Núria Martín, director of human resources; Nuria Rexach, recruitment manager; Jennifer García, senior talent development specialist; and Anabel Campo, assistants director. 

Lawyers Iñigo Elizalde, Jorge García de Presno, Cristina Romariz and Laura Rodríguez, head of Corporate Compliance, were this year’s program directors, working hand-in-hand with Gemma Villalbí, training manager, and the HR organizing team, making it possible to offer sessions that provided knowledge and technical training of the new hires, while creating a strong sense of belonging.
