The Cuatrecasas offices in Latin America—Bogotá, Mexico City, Lima and Santiago—were named the Environment and Sustainability: Outstanding Firm Winner at the Chambers Latin America Awards 2022. For the second consecutive year, Chambers included an environment and sustainability award that celebrates the work of law firms and companies in incorporating these values into their business strategy and culture.

Cuatrecasas partners Cristián Conejero, Manuel Quinche and César Rivera represented the firm at the Chambers Latin America Awards 2022 Gala, held at the Emanuel Luxury Venue in Miami (USA) on October 28.

The award rewards the firm’s "commitment to sustainability, achieving a 69% reduction in carbon footprint from 2019 to 2021 and working towards net zero by 2030." In addition to that challenge, the publication highlights that Cuatrecasas “(trains its) lawyers on climate science to ensure they can appropriately advise clients."

Manuel Quinche, managing partner of the Cuatrecasas Bogotá office, accepted the award that marks an important milestone for our firm in Latin America. He emphasized that “The Cuatrecasas Latin American offices are honored to be recognized as the most outstanding firm in environment and sustainability; it confirms that our services related to caring for our planet are moving forward and it lets us know that our ESG policies are on the right track.”
These awards recognize the preeminence of law firms in key Latin American jurisdictions and reflect the achievements of the leading law firms in Latin America over the last year.

The event also recognized and awarded the work of national and international law firms throughout the region, based on data provided by the Latin American Chambers of Commerce Guide. There was also recognition of achievements in Diversity and Inclusion.
