Pro Bono Program

Cuatrecasas has a robust pro bono practice whose mission is to provide non-profit entities with top-quality, innovative legal advice.
Our lawyers participate in the pro bono cases under the principle of voluntary action and equal opportunities. Our work dynamics and procedures are consistent for all clients, including pro bono beneficiaries.

Pro Bono Program

Social initiatives

We contribute to the social development of our communities through three institutional channels (i) pro bono legal services, (ii) the Cuatrecasas Foundation, and (iii) institutional support and support from the teams at the firm s offices of social initiatives different to those mentioned earlier. Our corporate social responsibility policy applies to all companies forming part of the Cuatrecasas business group.
We have been members of the United Nations Global Compact since 2000 and we carry out annual reporting of our progress in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. Access our last sustainability report here.
Since 2014, we have been collaborating with the Entrepreneurship Class and Esade in a program that provides top-level training to entrepreneurs with disabilities and supports them when starting entrepreneurial projects.
We provide scholarships for two law students at the public university of Nairobi.
Cuatrecasas Sports Club promotes participation in charity sporting events, including the Carrera de la Mujer, the Carrera de la Cruz Roja, the Antena Solidaria Trail, the Carrera de las Empresas, Trailwalker Intermon Oxfam and Juegos Interempresas; since its creation in 2017, it has organized over 160 activities, issued over 2,300 jersey numbers, and had a total of over 900 participants. Objective:  to raise funds for over 400 cooperation and humanitarian action projects.
Every year we participate in the benefit concert Rock & Law. All the proceeds of the concert go to a social entity. In 2020, we postponed Rock & Law in Spain due to the pandemic. Our Portuguese offices, however, organized two online musical performances (April and November), raising €2,500.
We maintain ongoing collaborations with social, cultural and ESG-related entities to contribute to the sustainable social and economic development of our environment in the countries where we are present.
