Nicolás Arboleda joins Cuatrecasas Bogotá as partner in Oil, Gas, Mining and Environment Practice

Cuatrecasas is strengthening its Bogotá office by bringing on board lawyer Nicolás Arboleda Márquez as a new partner in the Oil, Gas, Mining and Enviroment Practice.

Arboleda has worked in project and contract structuring in the mining and oil industries for over 15 years. He has also led the negotiation and closing of many transactions with companies in the field in Latin American, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A prominent figure in the sector due to his academic career, he lectures in different university chairs of the mining and oil industries, and participates regularly in specialized conferences and publications.

Arboleda holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá), postgraduate studies in Mining and Oil Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia, a Master’s degree in Administrative Law from Universidad del Rosario, and is currently completing a Master’s in International Mineral Resources Management from the University of Dundee (UK).
