Juan Pablo Porto specializes in tax law, advising national and international companies on crossborder transactions, particularly focusing on tax structuring and optimization. He also advises individuals on the structuring and taxation of their investments.
He advises on all kinds of transactions, including M&A, financing and asset purchases. He has extensive experience in representing clients in tax litigation proceedings and in inspection proceedings by the tax authorities.
He is a member of the Lima Bar Association, of the Peruvian Institute of Tax Law and of the Peruvian Research and Development Institute. He is vice president of the International Fiscal Association’s Peruvian group. He lectures in the Master of Taxation and Fiscal Policy at Universidad de Lima and at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
He has also lectured at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, and at Universidad ESAN.
He has written many articles for specialized journals and regularly speaks at national and international forums on tax matters.
