João Sequeira Sena focuses his practice on several areas of public law, including public procurement; the awarding, negotiating, and signing of public contracts; infrastructure; judicial reviews; arbitration; M&A transactions; and regulatory matters, particularly in the energy, urban planning, transport and environmental sectors.
From July 2022 to June 2023, he completed a secondment at the Cuatrecasas Madrid office.
He is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.
He has been a guest assistant lecturer at Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão since 2017, lecturing on the subject Introduction to Law.
Also since 2017, he has been a research assistant at the Public Law Research Center at the Faculty of Law of Universidade de Lisboa.
He has published several articles and contributed to many national and international publications on public law and energy law.
He is a member of several review committees of specialized journals in his field.
