Cuatrecasas advises Bergé Group on merger with Transportes Vigía

The Cuatrecasas team in Colombia advised Spanish logistics operator Bergé Group, owner of the Carport logistics warehousing centers and comprehensive vehicle services in the cities of Santa Marta and Yotoco (Colombia), on merging with Colombian group Transportes Vigía.

This partnership seeks to turn the new company, Bergé Vigía, into the leading logistics operator of finished vehicles in Colombia and offer a comprehensive logistics service to car assemblers, importers and dealers in the Colombian market. The transaction included a corporate restructuring of the Bergé Group’s operations in Colombia.

The new company has over 120,000 m² of premises for inventory management and storage, a fleet of over 200 car carrier trailers, the ability to transport 140,000 automobiles a year, 2,500 m² of workshop space, 2 logistics centers and over 200 employees.
