Cuatrecasas has advised building company Comsa on the sale of 50% of the Sociedad Concesionaria Tranvía de Murcia S.A. and the temporary joint venture operating it to FCC, which acquires exclusive control of the municipal concession.

In 2009, Comsa and FCC obtained the concession to build, implement and exploit line 1 of Murcia’s tram. A route 18km long with 28 stops, it currently has a fleet of 11 cars providing regular transportation services in the city of Murcia, connecting downtown to the Nueva Condomina commercial area and the universities.

The Cuatrecasas team that participated in the transaction was led by Corporate and M&A partner Alejandro Payá, who has worked together with Juan Carlos Hernanz, Irene Moreno-Tapia, Xavier Morera and Javier García Peris.
