Cuatrecasas advises MUFG Bank on refinancing for Termonorte

Cuatrecasas has advised MUFG Bank, Ltd. on negotiating the documents under Colombian law to refinance the loan of Termonorte S.A.S. E.S.P. for the operation of its power plant in Santa Marta, Colombia.

As this refinancing was for a project with the construction stage already completed and now in operation, Termonorte—as debtor in the transaction—obtained a much more adequate and flexible financing compared to the previous one.

The team from the Cuatrecasas Bogotá office handling the transaction was made up of partner Manuel Quinche, with Corporate and Commercial Practice lawyers Juan Carlos Puentes, Natalia Arango, Natalia Serrano, Laura Salazar and the support of Lorenzo Lizarralde.
