The global rankings of M&A transactions published by Mergermarket and TTR confirm the great work of Cuatrecasas in the sector during 2022
Once again, Cuatrecasas stands out among the law firms with most international activity for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) legal advisory services, one of its main practice areas. The firm thus closes an excellent 2022 fiscal year, enabling it to occupy top positions in various specialist league tables in the sector.
Of particular note is the debut of Cuatrecasas in
Mergermarket’s annual Top 20 ranking of legal advisers for the number of closed deals of global importance. In addition to this great milestone is the fact of being the only Iberian firm to earn a place in this edition, after having advised on 237 M&A transactions. This result underlines Cuatrecasas’s great commitment to its expansion and the strengthening of its international work teams.
Moreover, the firm has excelled on the Iberian Peninsula where, once again, it tops the league table by deal count according to Mergermarket, the leading platform that also ranks Cuatrecasas in first place in its analysis of volume of transactions in Portugal, and in second place in Spain. The Mergermarket study has positively valued the firm’s development in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in its climb to seventh position in the respective league table. In Latin America, Cuatrecasas has risen to ninth place in the deal count ranking and appears in the Top 20 for value of transactions for the first time.
Cuatrecasas has also received a good review of its activities in Spain based on the indicator developed by the
TTR Data platform, where it achieves second place for deal count. It also receives special recognition for its participation in the most outstanding project of the Spanish market in 2022, that of advising Bain Capital on acquiring Industria de Turbo Propulsores (ITP). In the same ranking, the firm again excels in the number of closed transactions: it has climbed two places in Portugal and makes the podium; and in Latin America it has also achieved an important ranking by jurisdictions: third place in Chile, fifth in Colombia, sixth in Mexico and fourth in Peru.
