SubscribeCuatrecasas, the only Iberian firm present in Angola, where it has been operating for over a decade, has relocated its Luanda office to Torre Maculusso, a 16-story office building in downtown Luanda.
The move to a new space of more than 300 square meters is taking place in the context of the ongoing growth of the firm’s activity in the Angola legal market, carried out in partnership with a local law firm and with a particular focus on corporate, tax and infrastructure. The Luanda office has a team of eight professionals and a client portfolio that includes multinationals and international investors.
Nuno Sá Carvalho, Managing Partner of Cuatrecasas in Portugal, comments, “The firm continues its commitment to developing this important market based on the existing collaboration between the Lisbon office, where many lawyers have ample expertise in Angolan law, and the Luanda office, under the coordination of André Duarte Figueira. Our new premises in Luanda represent an important step for reinforcing the firm´s positioning in this market and in Africa.”
Antonio Baena, head of the Cuatrecasas international area, emphasizes that “Cuatrecasas is once again investing in innovating and expanding its spaces. This move is part of the worldwide renovation plan for our offices, as happened in recent months in New York, Lisbon and Seville. Expansions are also forecast in the near future for Bogotá, Santiago and Lima.”
Torre Maculusso is the headquarters for other renowned companies and institutions, including the Embassy of Spain in Angola, CMA, GAC and Banco Yetu.
