Specialist in financial regulation, advising national and international financial institutions, including credit institutions, payment institutions, investment firms, management companies, collective investment institutions, private equity firms, and fintech companies.

Miguel Sánchez Monjo is an expert in fund formation of national and international open and closed-ended investment vehicles: UCITS, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, direct lending, real estate, and master-feeder structures.

He also advises on corporate transactions of a sectoral nature in which financial regulation plays an important role.

From 2009 to 2012, he was on secondment at Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC, advising on financial derivatives.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.

He lectures at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Master in Legal Consultancy for Businesses, Master in Regulated Sectors Law and Master for Admission to the Practice of Law) and at the Institute of Stock Exchange Studies. He speaks at conferences and seminars organized by financial sector associations, such as the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA) and contributes to the journal Revista de Derecho del Mercado de Valores.
