Iñigo de Luisa is an expert in leveraged and acquisitions financing, syndicated and bilateral loans, real estate financing, lease back transactions, corporate financing, credit assignments, project financing, public-private partnerships for infrastructure projects, structured financing and other kinds of security granted in Spain.
He has advised on complex financial and refinancing transactions in the real estate sector and on different transactions to acquire distressed debt, NPLs and REOs. He regularly advises international investors on real estate transactions and secured corporate debt, and advises Spanish borrowers and private debt funds on direct lending transactions.
He was an associate at an international New York firm and, from 2006 to 2008, he worked at the Cuatrecasas office in London, where he headed the financial practice and participated in many crossborder transactions. He is a member of the Bar Association of New York (2000) and a member of the Bar Association of Madrid (1996), and a former member of the board of the Columbia University Club of Spain (CUCS). He writes articles for IFLR (Banking, Spain) and other specialized journals. He lectures at several universities (CEU, Carlos III, ISDE, ICADE).
