Antonio Baena in an expert in corporate and capital markets matters (M&A transactions, joint ventures, takeover bids and public offerings).
He advises Spanish and international companies—mainly private equity and investment funds, and listed companies—on crossborder transactions, particularly in Spain and Latin America. He has participated in wide-ranging transactions, including in the energy, industrial, finance, consumer, real estate, and telecommunications sectors.
From 2013 to 2017, he managed the Cuatrecasas London office. In 2018, he started to manage the firm’s New York office and, currently, he does this while co-managing the London office.
Before joining the firm, he worked as an investment banker at Salomon Brothers in London and New York.
He has lectured on corporate and securities law in master and bachelor programs at several universities, including Universidad CEU San Pablo, Universidad de Alcalá, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad de Navarra and ESADE Business & Law School. He has Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA licenses.
He has written and co-written articles in specialized journals and in collective works.
