Cuatrecasas stands out in the global M&A rankings by number of transactions

Once again, Cuatrecasas stands out among the law firms with most international activity advising on M&A deals, one of its main practice areas. Thus, the firm closes an excellent 2023, occupying top positions in specialist rankings in the sector.

The firm reaches number 13 and continues to be the only non US/UK firm in the Top 20 of legal advisers by number of closed international deals in the ranking that Mergermarket complies every year. This result confirms that Cuatrecasas continues to be strongly committed to expanding and strengthening its international work teams.

Also according to Mergermarket, Cuatrecasas is again the top firm by number of transactions in the Iberian Peninsula, both in Portugal and Spain. That same study also recognizes the work of the firm in Latin America, where it is fourth by number of transactions.

In TTR’s ranking, Cuatrecasas is one of the Top 3 firms by number of transactions in all jurisdictions in Latin America. The same study gives the firm excellent ratings for its work in Spain: we maintain second place by number of transactions, and it highlights our advising on the platform’s “Deal of the Year, 2023,” which was the sale of a minority shareholding of HIP Partners’ capital to GIC. In the same ranking, by number of closed deals, the firm stands out again in Portugal and for the first time places at number one, with special mention to advising Onex Renewables on the sale of Finerge’s wind farms.
