Ramiro Portocarrero Lanatta regularly leads national and international arbitration proceedings in venues such as Bogotá, Lima, Madrid, Miami and New York, in cases under Colombian, English, Peruvian and Spanish law.

He advises private clients and state bodies on emerging disputes in the oil and gas, and energy sectors, investment arbitration, corporate disputes and particularly construction disputes related to infrastructure works and concessions in LatAm.

Before joining Cuatrecasas he was partner and chair of the international arbitration practice at a leading regional law firm.

He is a member of the Lima Bar Association and a member of the board of directors of the Peruvian chapter of the  Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club.

Ramiro regularly speaks on arbitration matters at national and international forums. He also lectured in undergraduate and postgraduate courses on contractual law and civil procedural law at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, energy regulation at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, and civil procedural law at Universidad de Lima.
