Paula Benéitez advises large business groups with a strong international focus. She advises foreign groups on their investments in Spain and on setting up in Europe and in Latin America, as well as on crossborder M&A transactions. She also advises Spanish business groups on planning and implementing their investments and transactions abroad.
She is an expert in tax and succession planning for large estates with an international focus, and in advising sports people on tax and assisting with the tax planning of big sporting events.
She regularly advises clients on tax litigation proceedings, tax inspections, economic-administrative appeals and judicial reviews in relation to queries on interpreting double tax treaties and European Union tax matters.
She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association. She lectures at several universities and business schools, including in the Master in Tax at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and in the International Master in Tax Consultancy at ISDE Law & Business School.
She is the author of several law review articles and chapters in books on international and European Union tax matters, and she regularly speaks at national and international forums on these subjects.
