José Moya has developed his career since 2002 as a member of the firm's Corporate and Commercial Practice. His practice focuses on advising national and multinational companies, and family businesses on an ongoing basis on all areas of their business activity: company mergers, acquisitions and transfers; corporate restructuring, including company financing by structuring and implementing all kinds of financing and fixed-income transactions.
As a member of the firm's Family Business Group, he has contributed to the drafting and implementing of several family protocols for Andalusian companies.
He lectures in the Advanced Master in Legal Practice at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, the Master in Legal Consultancy for Businesses at Cajasol Instituto de Estudios Jurídicos y Económicos, and the Master in Legal Consultancy for Businesses at Universidad de Huelva Law School. He also lectures on commercial law at Universidad de Sevilla and is an authorized lecturer at the EOI business school.
He has given talks at seminars on good governance and succession in family businesses, refinancing and corporate debt structuring, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as teaching in international courses on training new generations in family businesses. He is the author of various articles in specialized journals on refinancing, corporate law, bankruptcy law, and family businesses.
He is secretary and vice secretary of the boards of directors of several Andalusian companies.
He is a member of the Seville Bar Association (2002). Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked at leading international law firms.
