Iñigo Egea advises legal entities and corporate groups in the energy, industrial, automotive, logistics and transport, and retail and consumer sectors on tax matters (direct and indirect taxation).
He has participated in many business restructuring transactions, and also advises on the taxation of M&A transactions and of consolidated groups, as well as on tax inspections.
He assists family businesses, particularly advising the family offices of holders of large estates on tax matters.
He also advises clients on tax aspects relating to the digital economy, the application of the tax on certain digital services and the tax implications arising from new digital business models, e.g., ecommerce; the taxation of transactions with cryptocurrencies and other cryptoassets; cloud computing companies; the taxation of youtubers and influencers; the taxation of virtual marketplace platforms, metasearch engines, and of entities providing online advertising and online intermediariy services and data sales services.
He directs and lectures on the advanced course in taxation of the digital economy at the School of Legal Practice at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
He is a regular collaborator and speaker at forums specializing in corporate taxation and the digital economy. He contributes regularly to specialized journals, including Cuadernos de Derecho y Comercio (ISSN 15757-4812), published by the General Council of Notaries Public and Lefebvre.
A member of the Madrid Bar Association, he is the firm’s contact person with the Spanish Digital Economy Association (ADIGITAL).
