Guillermo Vidal has participated in many company sales transactions and in shareholding, business and corporate restructuring transactions of family businesses and international companies operating in Spain.
An expert in the non-profit sector, he advises foundations, associations, public sector entities (e.g., state-owned companies and consortiums), religious institutions, sports clubs and federations, and universities on civil and tax matters, and on sponsorship and patronage. He has participated in and designed public-private structures and events of exceptional public interest, as well as contributing to legislative reform proposals in this area. He has also structured and designed mechanisms to channel the philanthropic actions of large individual estates and companies.
He is the secretary-elect of the board of directors of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain, and a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and of the Cuatrecasas German Desk.
He speaks regularly at forums and seminars on the taxation of foundations, associations, sports institutions, public institutions and universities, as well as on patronage activities. He has published several articles on the taxation of sports institutions in legal journals and financial newspapers, as well as on taxation for universities.
