Between 2015 and 2018, Francisco Soares Machado worked as an advisor to the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. Previously, between 2012 and 2015, he was an advisor in the cabinet of the Minister of Finance in the Portuguese Government, where he worked on financial stability and banking regulation matters.

Former member of the Legal Committee of the Portuguese Corporate Governance Institute and member of the Governance Lab think tank.
