Francisco Santos Costa has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, advising clients on transactions and on regulatory issues.
He also advises on and handles the legal management of energy and infrastructure projects, including crossborder transactions and corporate restructuring mandates in a wide range of subsectors: energy transition (hydro, solar, wind and cogeneration), distribution and retail of fuel products and infrastructure concession contracts. His clients include major companies in the energy sector, private equity funds and other financial sponsors, infrastructure funds and industrial partners.
He is an expert in all stages of project development, joint ventures, commercial contracts, due diligence, risk assessment and management of legal solutions.
He contributes regularly to the Chambers Global Practice Guide on Corporate and M&A Trends and Developments, and Getting the Deal Through Private M&A, published by Law Business Research.
