Camila Orrego specializes in advising national and international financial institutions and fintech companies on regulatory matters, as well as on structuring proceedings before the Financial Superintendence of Colombia.
She has handled disputes on public and regulatory policies with national and international authorities and associations, particularly relating to financial inclusion, capital and liquidity requirements, prudential regulation, mobile banking and financial innovation. She also helped draft financial regulations applicable to the Colombian financial system in relation to the Basel Accords, financial agglomerates, risk administration systems, fintech, green bonds, payment systems, cryptoassets, digital ecosystems and open banking.
Before joining Cuatrecasas, she worked at the Financial Superintendence of Colombia, at one of Colombia’s most important financial groups and at leading law firms.
