Fibra Orión adds San Matías wind farm in Baja California to its investment portfolio

Cuatrecasas advised Fibra Orión on the capital subscription and purchase of the entire share capital of Fuerza Eólica de San Matías, S. de R.L. De C.V.

With this transaction, Fibra Orión added the San Matías wind farm to its investment portfolio, thus generating great value with a marked sustainability focus. Rodolfo Campos, CEO of Fibra Orión stated that: “For Fibra Orión, acquiring Fuerza Eólica San Matías marks the beginning of our participation in the electricity sector, where we see a great opportunity to boost renewable energy.”

The Cuatrecasas team designed bespoke tax and business strategies to be able to address several particular characteristics of the legal nature of Fibra, as well as the complexities inherent to the transaction.
