The fifth Cuatrecasas ACELERA program—the firm’s accelerator program that has already helped over 30 startups gain project traction—kicks off with the first bootcamp. These completely online sessions will take place between today and Wednesday, October 7. The six selected startups will meet the team of mentors that will accompany them throughout the accelerator program, as well as participate in workshops and legal classes given by Cuatrecasas partners and experts from the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Cuatrecasas CIO, Francesc Muñoz, explained that “during these three days, we start to work on the regulatory and legal requirements and challenges of each of the startups. We also provide advice on intellectual property, labor and employment, tax, and corporate and commercial matters, to validate the main aspects of each of these areas.” He emphasized that all the necessary platforms and digital tools have been provided this year to maintain the same level as previous ones but in an online format. “We have organized online networking activities with ecosystem experts and Cuatrecasas ACELERA alumni startups, which will take place during the four-month program,” Muñoz stated.

A new feature this year is that consulting firm Gellify will also accompany the startups by building traction and validating their projects. The consultancy has also worked with Cuatrecasas on designing the business dynamics that are taught at the bootcamp and that aim to address key aspects that benefit the growth and development of entrepreneurs and startups. During the Know your Business and Legal Mentor session, the consulting firm and law firm will introduce the expert network and team of mentors that will support the startups during the program. The mentoring team is made up of Cuatrecasas lawyers Elisenda Baldrís, Álvaro Bourkaib, Jorge Canta, Isabel Gandoy, Jorge Monclús and Diana Rivera.
