Cuatrecasas has closed the 2024 fiscal year with a business volume of €436.1 million, 12.2% more than the previous year. For the second consecutive year, growth has been double digit, the highest of the last five years. Between 2020 and 2024, the firm had an increase in accumulated revenue of €120.8 million (+38.3%). If the current trend continues, Cuatrecasas expects to pass the €500 million mark in under three years.

In a year marked by the transition to a specialty group- and industry-structured working model without geographic borders, Cuatrecasas closed 2024 with a work force of 1,990, 4.2% more than 2023.

Cuatrecasas’s Senior Partner, Rafael Fontana, considers the results to be a clear indication that the firm is doing well: “We have grown in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, and we have increased our presence in high-impact sectors such as international arbitration, real estate, private equity, infrastructure and energy. This success did not come about by chance. It is the result of a clearly defined strategic plan, placing the client at the center of the organization and being committed to talent, innovation and knowledge.”

2024 Corporate Sustainability Report

Cuatrecasas has issued its 2024 Corporate Sustainability Report in which the firm accounts for its management in non-financial areas. In addition to other important issues, it highlights the investment in innovation and process optimization, particularly in Generative AI, which has reached €3.6 million.

Cuatrecasas has also continued to consolidate and strengthen one of its key pillars, that of professional talent, with career plans that are more flexible, transparent and open to the new trends and expectations of its lawyers. In addition, in its business strategy to achieve gender parity and diversity goals, it maintains the number of women in committees and management bodies. In the field of social contribution, Cuatrecasas has dedicated a significant 4,017 hours to pro bono services, 34.4% more than in 2020.

Regarding the environment, the firm continues to press ahead toward a sustainable transition, closing a fiscal year in which 82% of the energy consumed was from renewable sources, and 81% of its offices are LEED- (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) or BREEAM-certified (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology), with technically sustainable buildings. In line with these indicators, Cuatrecasas continues to work on consolidating a robust ESG strategy that promotes socially and environmentally responsible practices.
