SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised Banco Sabadell on granting a credit line to Energía Real—one of the Riverstone portfolio companies in Mexico—for the construction, development and operation of several distributed generation projects in the country, valued at MXN 250 million.
The financing comes with the usual guarantees in this type of transactions.
This loan is part of a strategic financing plan of up to MXN 1.5 billion to be implemented over the next 12 months, which with enable Energía Real to leverage part of its current operational portfolio, diversify its funding sources and confirm a sound and successful business model.
Energía Real currently has 80 MW sold, of which over 60 MW are operational and the rest are under construction.
The Cuatrecasas team advising on this transaction was made up of lawyers León López, Alberto de Villa, Rafael Rodríguez, Jesús Cortés and Mariajosé Raimond.
