Ana María Sánchez as a new partner in the Finance and Infrastructure
Practice. Her arrival reinforces the firm’s commitment to its growth and
consolidation project in the Latin American legal sector, contributing
great value to all the projects in which she is involved.
Ana María Sánchez
has extensive experience in advising sponsors, multilateral agencies and
commercial banks on the structuring, development and implementation of
corporate and infrastructure financing projects in a wide range of industries.
She
has worked for over 10 years for leading international law firms in Colombia,
Peru and the United States, and has developed a large part of her career
advising private-sector companies on all types of mergers and acquisitions,
including business reorganizations and the acquisition and transfer of private
assets in diverse industries.
Since
it opened a little over a year ago, the Bogotá office has grown significantly,
consolidating Cuatrecasas as a benchmark law firm in the region. It has
increased sales and positioned itself in a highly competitive market,
participating in important projects with high added value.
These
results are reflected in the latest ranking published by TTR, in which
Cuatrecasas has successfully closed 2021, occupying the fifth position in
transaction volume in Colombia. The Bogotá office now has a team of
nearly 50 colleagues covering its main practice areas: Corporate and
M&A, Energy and Infrastructure, Corporate Taxation, Finance, Labor and
Employment, and Environmental Law.
