In the Extraordinary Partners Meeting held in Barcelona on April 10, two new counsel were appointed: Conchi Bargalló (Tax, Spain) and Francisco Marzá (Restructuring, UK). Both appointments reflect the firm’s commitment to recognizing talent and excellence in client service, and to consolidating its reputation in practice areas and sectors of strategic value.

Conchi Bargalló has extensive experience in advising national and international business groups on tax matters, including tax inspections, indirect taxation, consolidated tax, transfer pricing and permanent establishments. She is an expert in inspection and negotiation proceedings with the Spanish tax authorities and has handled complex business restructuring globally. She was based in Shanghai between 2014–2017 where she advised on foreign investments in China. She is a recommended lawyer by Chambers & Partners Asia, Legal 500, International Tax Review and Best Lawyers in Tax.

Francisco Marzá has an outstanding track record in financing transactions, debt restructuring and distressed situations, advising investors, financial institutions and debtors on national and international processes. He joined Cuatrecasas in 2011 and has been based in the Barcelona, Madrid and London offices. He is a recommended lawyer by Best Lawyers in Banking & Finance and Financial Institutions.
