Ricardo Mínguez Muñoz developed his career in the public service where he had different positions. His career reached its high point when he became deputy director general of the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate (a position he held until 2017). Before that, he was regional manager of the Basque Country’s Labor and Social Security Inspectorate (until 2013), and provincial director of the state unemployment office in Alava (2000-2002).
With a degree in the prevention of accidents at work, and specializing in industrial safety, hygiene in the workplace, ergonomics and psychosociology, he has extensive experience in the field of safety and health at work.
A member of several advisory bodies, including the Basque Council of the Labor Inspectorate and OSALAN’s General Council, he is committed to the circulation of information on regulatory compliance regarding social aspects.
He lectures in the Master in Human Resources at Universidad de Deusto, having also lectured at the School of the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate. He has participated in several presentations and publications related to his speciality area. Also, in conjunction with trade union and business organizations, and public entities, he has participated in forums specializing in labor matters.
