Specialist in environmental regulation and responsibility, particularly focusing on the mining, oil, agrochemical and industrial sectors

Luisa Toledo advises national and international companies on the environment and natural resources, particularly in risk management and sanctioning procedures, and provides environmental support in financial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and energy and infrastructure projects. 

She also has expertise in (i) developing due diligence processes, (ii) adopting strategic environmental decisions, (iii) permitting and licensing procedures, and (iv) identifying early warnings prior to project investment. Luisa particularly focuses on environmental regulatory requirements applicable to the energy, mining, oil, agro-industrial and infrastructure sectors. She also handles the social risk assessment associated with developing these types of activities and  advises clients on transactions associated with carbon markets.

She is part of specialized chairs and lectures in master’s courses at Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Externado de Colombia and Universidad de los Andes.

Before joining Cuatrecasas, she worked as a lawyer in natural resources at an international law firm.
