Luis Fernando Díaz Simón advises on competition matters.
He worked for the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE), the mexican competition authority, participating in high-profile investigations in critical sectors such as oil, sports, and public tenders.
He also managed COFECE´s immunity program, a mechanism for cooperation between the authority and companies seeking to admit their participation in anticompetitive practices. He participated in planning, drafting and implementing the provisions applicable to processes carried out electronically, and also in the first appearance of this kind in the history of COFECE.
Before joining Cuatrecasas he worked at a leading firm in Mexico, where he handle highly complex merger notifications and advised clients on competition compliance.
