José Manuel Ortiz specializes in advising national and international banks, savings banks, credit cooperatives, collective investment institutions, venture capital companies, insurance companies and investment service companies on taxation on an ongoing basis, advising them on institutional taxation and on the taxation of their products and transactions.
He is also an expert in the asset and tax planning of investments, and in advising the personal and private banking networks of banks, savings banks and other financial institutions. His expertise includes designing and implementing tax-efficient senior management remuneration schemes and flexible compensation plans for company employees.
He is chair of the Accreditation and Certification Committee (CAC) of the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA) Spain. He lectures in the Master in Tax Consultancy at IE Business School-IE Law School (Madrid) and in the Master in Financial Institutions and Financial Markets at CUNEF University College of Financial Studies (Madrid). He also lectures on tax in preparatory courses for exams to qualify as European Financial Advisor (EFA) and European Financial Planner (EFP) of the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA Spain). He has been responsible for the technical content of the Tax Club of the Spanish Association for Management Progress (ADP) since 2010.
