Advising national and international companies on civil and commercial litigation and arbitration
Diego Abreu advises on civil and commercial litigation, and domestic and international arbitration (administered by ICC, CAM, and ICSID).

He has advised and represented companies in the insurance, energy, infrastructure, building, entertainment and health sectors. He also handles contractual and non-contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and claims for non-pecuniary damage and collection. He focuses on amparo proceedings and oral justice proceedings.

Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked in the Mexico City and Miami offices of a leading international law firm.

Since 2003, he has been lecturing on Arbitration and International Justice at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Postgraduate Studies Division, Faculty of Law).

He advised the representative team of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in the international law competition Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot held in 2023 in Lucknow, India. The team won second place.
