Carlos Monteza specializes in administrative law, the regulation of public services, and free competition law. He also advises on administrative and regulatory matters including real estate investment, infrastructure and public services regulation, government contracts, telecommunications, public-private partnerships and concessions, water resources and sanitation, building, energy and electricity.
He has acted as lawyer in national civil, commercial and public procurement arbitrations and has also participated as an administrative law expert in international arbitrations before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Before joining Cuatrecasas, he was senior associate and founding partner at two leading Peruvian law firms.
He is a member of the Lima Bar Association.
He lectures on administrative law at Universidad de Piura in Lima. He has also lectured in the same course at Universidad Católica del Perú, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and Universidad Científica del Sur.
He is the author of several articles and opinions published in specialized journals and other publications.
