Carlos Bonhome advises on issues ranging from the conditions and the legal framework of engaging in the insurance business, preparing and drafting insurance-product clauses, to helping the institutions in their relations and administrative proceedings with the Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds.
He also advises on transactions (e.g., selling companies, and assigning or transferring portfolios) and restructuring processes (e.g., mergers and spin-offs), developing their strategic design and implementing them. He has participated in many joint ventures and strategic collaboration agreements between companies in the finance sector (credit institutions and insurance companies) to enable them to jointly use business networks and distribute insurance products (i.e., transactions involving banking and insurance).
He has lectured on the legal regime of insurance institutions in the Master in Financial Law at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas-ICADE and in the Master in International Legal Practice at Universidad CEU San Pablo. He also speaks regularly at seminars organized by academies and educational institutions, such as APD, IFAES, IIR, INESE and Instituto de Estudios Fiscales.
He has published several articles on topical legal subjects in different specialized journals and other publications.
