Benjamín Torres advises on competition law. He mainly advises national and international clients on investigations by the Chilean antitrust authority and litigations related to abuse of a dominant position, cartel cases, and preventive control of mergers, in regulated markets and non-regulated markets. He also advises on compliance issues.
He has participated in various litigations relating to anti-competitive practices before Chile’s Competition Court and Supreme Court.
Before joining Cuatrecasas, he was a senior lawyer in the free competition and regulated markets practice of a leading law firm in Chile.
He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
He has published several academic articles on free competition.
He was an assistant lecturer of civil law and procedural law at Universidad de Chile.
