Ana Sofia Silva advises Portuguese and international clients from the insurance and reinsurance sectors. She advises on joint ventures and strategic collaboration agreements between companies in the finance sector for the joint use of commercial distribution networks for insurance products (bancassurance), transfers and assignments of insurance portfolios, and procedures with the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF); she has participated in most of the main M&A transactions carried out on the Portuguese market involving insurance companies and insurance brokers.
In the area of regulatory law, she advises on structuring and implementing life and non-life insurance products, on interpreting contracts and on matters relating to pension plans and funds.
She also advises on structured finance transactions and debt issues.
She is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.
