Alexandre Picón advises Spanish and international companies on a wide range of matters under EU law, and under Spanish and EU competition law.
He assists clients in sanctioning proceedings concerning competition issues and merger control before the Spanish Markets and Competition and the European Commission, and authorities from other jurisdictions. He also regularly advises on state aid and participates in proceedings before national and EU courts.
In 2024, he worked at Cuatrecasas’ Antitrust team in Santiago (Chile).
He lectures in postgraduate courses at several universities, including Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Escuela de Práctica Juridica) and the Institute of Stock Exchange Studies (IEB).
Before joining Cuatrecasas he worked as an analyst at an international consulting firm, advising clients from the real estate and finance sectors.
He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
He has written several articles and publications on competition law and he participates as speaker in forums and conferences.
