Albert Garrofé advises on management buy-in and buy-out transactions, venture capital and private equity transactions and structured financing.
He has practiced in international environments, having managed the Cuatrecasas New York office (2006-2010) and having practiced in Brussels, London, Osaka and Tokyo.
He was an associate lecturer of commercial law at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (1996-2005). Since 2014, he has been lecturing business administration students on commercial law at the private university Institut Químic de Sarrià.
He regularly speaks at international forums on M&A and other business topics.
He is a member of the International Bar Association. In the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law, he has been chair of the Legal Practice Division and of the Foreign Legal Consultant Committee. In the New York State Bar Association's International Section, he is former co-chair of the Foreign Lawyers Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. He is also former vice president of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce of New York and of the American Foreign Law Association.
