Cuatrecasas, a leading law firm in Spain and Portugal with a strong presence in Latin America, has for the second consecutive year been named the most innovative firm in continental Europe by the prestigious British publication the Financial Times, which held its annual FT Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards last night in London.

The firm, which won the awards for the Most Innovative Law Firm In Europe (excluding the United Kingdom) and in Managing and Developing Talent, improved on last year’s results to become the sixth most innovative law firm in Europe (including the United Kingdom). Once again, Cuatrecasas is the leading continental law firm in the ranking, only points away from the top five firms.

Apart from Cuatrecasas, only one other continental firm (NautaDutilh) managed to be ranked among the top 10 most innovative law firms in Europe, coming in tenth. Only 6 Spanish law firms achieved a place among the 50 most innovative law firms in Europe: Cuatrecasas (6th), Écija (16th), Garrigues (20th), Gómez-Acebo & Pombo (28th), RCD (28th) and Uría (31th).

Cuatrecasas was named a standout firm in two categories, Managing and Developing Talent, and Creating a New Standard, and commended on five areas, Data, Knowledge and Intelligence; New Business and Service Delivery Models; Technology; Accessing New Markets and Capital; and Managing Complexity and Scale.
