SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised Global Dominion, a service and multi-technologies projects company, on incorporating Incus Capital as minority shareholder of Dominion Energy, its renewable energy subsidiary. Incus Capital contributes €50 million to the business in exchange for a 23.4% stake. It enters the business through a capital increase of Dominion Energy, to which the listed group will also allocate €25 million to keep control of over three quarters of the company.
After this operation, Dominion Energy’s value reaches €213 million, which will be used to finance projects already in its portfolio exceeding 1GW. Dominion accelerates the growth of its renewable energy subsidiary by bringing an institutional partner on board; and through the funds raised, it will be able to develop its business plan and become an key IPP (Independent Power Producer) player in Spain.
The team that participated in this operation was made up lawyers José Ramón Berecibar, Santiago Bayo Sevilla and Daniel Acedo Ralston from the Corporate and Commercial Area at the Bilbao office.
