Cuatrecasas advises on sale of Artai brokers to british Group Howden

Cuatrecasas lawyers Luis Güell, Sara Mondelo and Roberto Vázquez advised the seller on selling the independent insurance broker from Vigo, Spain to the British group Howden, one of the largest insurance brokers worldwide.

Artai has over 17 offices in Spain and Morocco, and 170 employees that managed premiums valued at €147 million last year. The acquisition, which is pending approval by the Directorate General for Insurance, will enable Artai’s business to be integrated into the British group Howden, one of the world’s main independent insurance brokers.
